Welcome to a warm kitchen where chocolate meets the magic of Dubai. This recipe brings together earthy pistachios, rich chocolate, and subtle cardamom for a treat that's both elegant and comforting.
Ingredients
- 200g dark chocolate (70% cocoa)
- 50g milk chocolate
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 tbsp heavy cream
- 2 tbsp honey (optional)
- 1 tsp ground cardamom
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 2 tbsp finely chopped pistachios
- 4 medjool dates, finely chopped
- Edible gold flakes (optional)
Instructions
1. Melt the Chocolate
Chop dark and milk chocolate. Add butter and cream. Melt over a double boiler or in the microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
2. Flavor the Chocolate
Stir in honey (if using), cardamom, and sea salt. Mix in chopped dates and half of the pistachios.
3. Shape the Chocolates
Pour mixture into silicone molds or line a tray with parchment paper (~1–2 cm thick). Sprinkle remaining pistachios and gold flakes on top.
4. Set the Chocolate
Refrigerate for 1–2 hours until firm.
5. Serve
Pop chocolates out of molds or cut into squares. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
